STUDENTS, parents, staff and friends from the Barony Campus are putting the final touches to their training regime as they prepare to take on a 10K race for a Cumnock charity this weekend.
The dedicated team of 40 runners will be raising money for Cumnock-based young people's organisation Yipworld at the 'Roon The Toon 10K' in Kilmarnock.
Led once again by popular Academy teacher, Bernard Shepherd, the fit team will aim to stack up as much cash as they can to help the charitable organisation at the event on Sunday, June 11.T
All money raised will be donated straight to Yipworld to benefit the young people the organisation works with – with potential uses including buying bedding, footwear or food for young people, or supporting the organisation's network of after-school clubs.
