Vital funds have been raised that will help to keep a much-loved Auchinleck club going.

The Sticky Fingers Club has been running for many years in Auchinleck and has developed into a very successful and well-regarded service for local families.

The club, organised by Francine Robertson, offers youngsters in the area a chance to meet up with friends and meet new people during school holiday times.

It's been another busy Easter holiday for the Auchinleck team, who are already drawing up plans for the summer.

In preparation for six weeks of fun this summer, the club held a psychic night at Mauchline Club last week, which raised crucial funds to go towards the club's activities.

A fabulous £1,730 was raised for the club, which will go towards future events and activities.

Lorraine Campbell, who has been helping out with organising the club throughout Easter, said the backing that club has had will ensure it can continue offering great support for families in the area.

Cumnock Chronicle:

She said: "This wee club is vital for a lot of families in the area.

"Especially during the school holidays, it can make a difference for a parent or a guardian to know that their child has somewhere to go for at least a few hours.

"That's why events like this psychic night all the support from local businesses and people really does keep the group running.

"We wouldn't be able to continue without the support."

Cumnock Chronicle:

Lorraine added: "There's so many people we want to thank for this.

"Everyone who donated raffle prizes and who came along to support the night and share the message that it was going ahead has made a massive difference.

"We'll have another busy summer coming up and this will be amazing in helping us prepare for that".

Lorraine, on behalf of Sticky Fingers Club, wanted to pass on thanks to:
