AUCHINLECK Talbot boss Tommy Sloan hopes to bolster his squad after a raft of departures from Beechwood Park this week.

The Beechwood gaffer admits that he is now looking to add up to three players to fill out his squad.

Forward Robert Love has now left Beechwood Park after spending a year with the Premier Division champions. Love made the switch from Cumnock last summer, but he failed to nail down a regular place in Tommy Sloan's plans.

Striker David Gillies also left Talbot this week. It brings an end to his third spell at the club after he re-joined from Troon last summer.

Backup goalie Scott Johnstone also left the club. The former Maybole shot stopper joined Talbot in the summer of 2015.

Midfielder, Martin Findlay was also released.

Beechwood boss Sloan is also bracing himself to lose William Boyd. Boyd made the gaffer aware of his intentions as he now can't commit to training due to work commitments.

Sloan said: "Ideally I'd like to bring in two or three new player. We've had to let a few go to bring in a few new players. I'd like to add a defender, midfielder and a striker to the squad but at the minute we're just keeping our eye out for the right fit for the team."

On Boyd's decision to leave Sloan added: "It was disappointing for me when he told me of his decision because he's a good young player but he's an intelligent lad and his job means he can't train regularly."

Elsewhere, Muirkirk last week announced that Gary Russell, Craig Peck and Darren McIntyre have signed on at Burnside Park for another season.
