TALBOT have been boosted this week after two club stalwarts put pen to paper on new deals.

Steven White and James Latta this week agreed to stay at Beechwood Park for at least another year.

It will be Latta's twelfth year as Talbot player whilst White has signed on fir his tenth season.

Talbot manager, Tommy Sloan was delighted to keep the services of two of his star men. He said: "I'm pleased to get them tied. There was never nay danger of them leaving or anything like the. It just took a while to get the deals finalised and I'm happy that we have got it done.

"They have now got to fight a lot harder to get in the team than they did before but the competition for places is good."

"There's a obviously a few players from last seasons squad that have left the club. Everyone else from that squad will be here again next year plus we have the two new players so I'm happy with the way things are going."

Talbot kick off their pre-season training on Wednesday and Sloan has invited several players to train with the squad to get a look at them.
